We recommend that you arrive at the clinic 10 minutes prior to your appointment time , especially if this is the first time you have seen your therapist.We regret that late arrivals can not always receive an extension of scheduled service times. We understand that emergencies do arise, however we do request the courtesy of 24 hours notice if you wish to cancel your appointment. A charge of 75% of the scheduled fee applies if this notice is not given.
Remedial Massage Therapist - Karen Malcolm
(BSc, MSc, Cert IV Rem Mass, AAMT)
Karen has been the owner and operator of the Centre of Wellbeing and a remedial massage practitioner for over 10 years. She presents at international conferences and is involved in peer reviewed case studies and remedial massage treatment trials. Working for many years as a medical research scientist before following her heart and studying natural therapies, she is uniquely qualified to interface between conventional and alternative medicine and encourages communication between all the health practitioners in your wellness team. Karen has established a trusted network of health practitioners with whom she shares treatment plans and patient care.
Karen's massage combines firmer styles with relaxational techniques to ensure you get results but also feel calmed and centred. She will help you to start shedding your stress the moment you walk through the door. Karen is passionate about fitness, meditation and eastern philosophies and combines it all in her practice of remedial and relaxational massage.
Karen is at the Inner Harmony Centre, Bulimba, on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays . She is at A Balanced Life, Holland Park, on Wednesdays and Fridays.

Acupuncturist - Gail Kirner
(Adv. Dip. HSc. (Acup), Cert. IV Oriental, AACMA)
Gail has 16 years experience in Natural Medicine, working in her own clinic and in combination with allied health practitioners and Medical practitioners. She is constantly updating her skills with continuing professional education and peer review discussion groups. She has extensive
experience and a special interest in treating:
- Musculo-skeletal problems: neck/back/shoulder pain, and sciatica
- Women's health: infertility, IVF support, pre-conception care, pregnancy support, menstrual problems & menopause
She is known and trusted for her calm, competent manner, inspiring confidence in her clients and facilitating their healing process. Gail's Philosophy when treating clients is:
"I work with you and your individual needs using a gentle and unique combination of Chinese and Japanese Acupuncture, Aromatherapy Oils and Moxibustion techniques. My aim is to revitalize and rebalance mind and body to reach optimum health and wellbeing."
